Taco Seasoning Recall
July 2019 — Williams Foods LLC has issued a voluntary recall for certain Great Value® and HEB taco seasonings that may be contaminated with Salmonella.
What is the Problem?
No illnesses or customer complaints were reported. The recall was issued after Mincing Spice Co. notified Williams Foods that cumin spice used in the taco seasoning tested positive for Salmonella.
What Taco Seasoning Was Recalled?
The following taco seasoning products were recalled:
- Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix: Best if used by 07/08/21 and 07/09/21
- HEB Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium: Better by 07/10/21, 07/11/21, and 07/15/21
The taco seasonings were sold at retail stores in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY.
