Las Vegas Family Files 1st Lawsuit Against Real Water
The first lawsuit has been filed against Real Water Inc. by a family in Las Vegas, Nevada, who fell ill after drinking Real Water® Alkaline Water, according to the local news outlet 8 News Now.
Who Filed the Lawsuit?
The lawsuit was filed by Emely and Christopher W., parents of a 2-year-old boy who had to be hospitalized with severe liver problems in November 2020. The boy was airlifted from Las Vegas to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, for emergency treatment of a serious liver malfunction. He was hospitalized for several days.
The boy’s father was also hospitalized in Las Vegas with extremely high liver enzyme levels, which is a symptom of liver damage. The lawsuit states that his liver enzyme ALT was measured at over 5,000, which makes him a candidate for a liver transplant.
At the same time, Emely W. also had symptoms of liver damage, but less serious. She said she suffered from fatigue and extreme nausea.

Can I Join a Class Action Lawsuit?
The Schmidt Firm, PLLC is nationally recognized as a class action law firm, but we are not filing a Real Alkalized Water Class Action Lawsuit at this time. Instead, we are filing individual lawsuits for people who were diagnosed with non-viral hepatitis or symptoms of liver damage.
About Class Actions
Class actions are useful when a lot of people have a similar legal claim, such as a refund for buying water that contained toxic chemicals. However, class actions are not typically used to seek financial compensation for individuals who have serious illnesses.
Why Our Law Firm is Filing Individual Lawsuits as Opposed to a Class Action
Our lawyers are filing individual lawsuits so that we can focus on helping people who have suffered the most serious injuries from drinking contaminated water. If you or your family members were diagnosed with liver damage and/or non-viral hepatitis, you may be eligible to file a lawsuit and seek compensation for your pain and suffering, medical bills, permanent injuries, lost income, and more.
