January 20, 2022 — Frozen Food Development has recalled certain 12-ounce bags of Lidl® Frozen Chopped Spinach due to a risk of Listeria contamination.
The recalled Frozen Chopped Spinach was distributed in Lidl retail stores in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The spinach was sold in 12-ounce plastic bags, and items included in the recall are marked with Lot # R17742 or R17963 on the back of the bag with a best by date of 09/10/23.
No illnesses were reported. Instead, the recall was issued after the 12-oz. packages of Lidl Frozen Chopped Spinach tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, according to the recall notice.
