On July 23, 2018, a precautionary recall was announced by Pepperidge Farm® for 3.3 million packages of Goldfish Crackers due to a risk of Salmonella contamination. No illnesses were reported.
What is the Problem?
The recall was issued because Goldfish Crackers contain whey powder seasoning, an ingredient that was recalled by a third-party manufacturer due to a risk of food poisoning with Salmonella.

The recalled products were sold in bags, cardboard boxes, single-serve vending machine bags, multi-pack trays, individual sizes, resealable bags, and bulk cartons.
