On June 22, 2009 International Meat Co. recalled approximately 6,152 pounds of ground beef products because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has stated that the ground beef products were produced on June 17, 2009, through June 19, 2009, and were shipped to distributors and restaurants in the Chicago, Ill., metropolitan area.
Additional Ground Beef Recall(s): On May 13, 2009, The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced a massive ground beef recall (95,000 pounds) after the products were linked to an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections. Signs & Symptoms of Ground Beef Induced E. Coli Food Poisoning
